The Balvenie - Tun 1509 Batch no. 7

Part of the Tun 1509 Series from Balvenie, this is Batch 7.To create Batch No.7 of The Balvenie Tun 1509, David C. Stewart MBE carefully hand-selected rare and precious casks (refill Sherry butts, ex-bourbon barrels) from the distillery’s precious aged whiskies. All were transferred to Tun 1509, which sits in Warehouse 24, for several months before bottling. Tasting Notes
Nose = Sweet, floral, light hints of honey and spices, ripe apples, sweet syrup, vanilla, toffee, caramel, apple pie and almonds.
Taste = Slight pepperiness, bitterness like from a fruit stone, continuation of honey shades, oak notes.
Finish = Quite long, balanced, warming, noble.
