It’s easy to start buying whisky with The Malt Social.
Step 1
REGISTER
Register with The Malt Social. All bidders must be registered members to access our auctions. Once registered, you’ll enjoy unrestricted access to all of our monthly whisky auctions, expert advice and community discussions.
Step 2
BID
Browse through our upcoming auctions to find a bottle or collection that catches your eye. Using the drop-down menu, select the maximum amount you’re willing to pay to purchase it. All bids are final with no exceptions. Monitor the progress of each auction from your profile to see how you’re fairing and if you’ve been outbid. You’ll be notified when your auction nears its end.
Step 3
AUCTION ENDS
Once the auction ends, the winner will be notified and will be sent a payment link to complete their purchase. If your bid wasn’t successful, you can continue to browse and bid on other upcoming auctions.
Step 4
PROCESS ORDER & PAY
You can access payments through your online account or via the payment link emailed to you. Payment must be made within seven (7) days of the close of the auction. A bottle commission fee of 10% of the sale price will be automatically applied to the payment amount and must be paid at the same time.
Step 5
DELIVER
Your item will be dispatched within five (5) days of receipt of payment. We will provide status updates throughout the delivery process so you know that your whisky is safe and securely on its way to you. See our Delivery page for more information.
